We are humbled by the support for North Carolina Adapted Sports has received to launch the trail accessibility initiative forward. As new bridges have been designed and built at Lake Crabtree County Park, NCAS has just scratched the surface of trail accessibility in the Triangle Area.
With a 7 of the 10 bridges at Lake Crabtree funded, we have the remaining three and 10 bridges at Harris Lake County Park.
In addition, NCAS needs to acquire the equipment, so people with a physical disability can enjoy the trails. Adapted trikes and handcycles have an entry price of $9,000, which is a barrier for potential adapted cyclists to get into the sport.
Our budget is $100,000 is underwritten by the generosity of supporters who live and work in every corner of the Triangle Area. Help North Carolina Adapted Sports serve people of the Triangle Area by giving them the opportunity to explore their potential.
